Hey, Stefanni here! 👋
I am happy to share that I’ve joined the 12xstartup.com challenge! Starting November 1st, and I wanted to share a few things with you:
My main goal is to work consistently, get feedback, and learn how to solve problems.
I may not get to do 12 projects, but I will try my best. I will also continue writing on The Plant-Based Diet Club and creating content for the hexdevs podcast/blog :)
- Start working in public 📢
- Build products that solve problems people are interested in paying for 👩💼
- Overcome my fears of shipping things 🛳️
- Being around supportive and motivating people is awesome 🤗
I posted a video here talking more about November and my progress so far.
The break that I am taking right now is related to thinking more about my end goal with this challenge. I am updating my MVP ideas in this document with more business-oriented details.
Something that I recently noticed is that trying to come up with random ideas was hard for me. I decided to use this challenge as a way to build tiny products/services aligned to my vision: help indie hackers achieve FIRE: Financial Independence, Retire Early.
I am excited to re-start the challenge in 2021 with this new perspective!
As part of my world domination plan, I am working on launching a Free 7-Day Plant-Based Diet Challenge Email Course!
The idea is to provide value to people, get new subscribers, and most importantly, have an engaging audience.
Changing gears a bit!
My ‘startup’ project is to get to 100 subscribers on The Plant-Based Diet Club. I realized that growing a newsletter is a fair challenge to me.
- I have to find out where my audience lives.
- I have to learn how to engage with them.
- By giving value to my audience, I will also be in a unique position of identifying what kind of problems they have.
Those 3 points are key to whatever I decide to do in the next months.
To clarify, my audience is people that are beginners or just curious about Plant-Based diet. I want to share personal tips, cool resources, events, etc. Anything that might help people maintain their healthy diet by eating a whole foods plant-based diet.
So, in order to be transparent, I am updating my November startup project to Growing The Plant-Based Diet Club to 100 subscribers.
I will be working on My Retro App. It’s a tool to do retros for your life. It helps you reflect on your past week and keep track of your priorities and purpose. I’ve tried a couple of retro templates and I have settled for a basic but effective one. I want to automate it and explore the possibilities with it. You can follow my updates here. There’s gonna be a landing page soon where you can sign up for the waiting list, if you got interested!
Stay tuned here or follow me on Twitter to see how it goes! 👋
